Axel Schiemann

Axel Schiemann’s practice focuses on financial regulation and compliance, including securities related compliance (including MiFID/MiFID II), prudential supervision of banks and investment firms (including CRR/CRDIV), FinTech innovations and ICOs, mergers and acquisitions in the financial industry, issuance of regulatory capital instruments, regulatory proceedings and audits, as well as bank-related dispute resolution and investigations. Recently, he has advised on various ICOs both in the German market and internationally. Axel was ranked #1 in the Financial Times European Innovative Lawyers Report 2016 in the category “Innovation in New Markets and Capital” for his work for FinTech start-up CrossLend, a cross-border lending and single loan securitization platform.
